Purchased two of these awesome wall lamps at Ikea today!
They sit above our bed, one on each side.

It makes our bedroom look...well, grown up!
I love that I can just reach on and turn the light off versus twisting!

They're beautiful!

Now...we're looking for a picture to hang in-between!

Oh, I love re-decorating!

~

Now to find a duvet cover that I like!

Of Things That Matter Most

image here

Have you ever searched your heart for answers?

Has it turned you inside and out?

I've been at it for a week.

And, I've read this book before,

and the changes I made before were impressive.

Its just getting better.

I feel like I've poured my soul out.

To whom?

No one in particular.

Simply, I've been talking to myself...

something that an Apostle of God told me to do.

"The fourth key relationship is with ourselves. It may seem odd to think of having a relationship with ourselves, but we do. Some people can’t get along with themselves. They criticize and belittle themselves all day long until they begin to hate themselves. May I suggest that you reduce the rush and take a little extra time to get to know yourself better. Walk in nature, watch a sunrise, enjoy God’s creations, ponder the truths of the restored gospel, and find out what they mean for you personally. Learn to see yourself as Heavenly Father sees you—as His precious daughter or son with divine potential."

This is the other book I've been reading this week.

Maybe I haven't just been talking to myself.

I feel that as I re-read these pages,

I can see myself struggling to become something more.

Something more than I am.

Progress is never easy,

but it is worth it, in the end.

Some of our friends started a SLC eatery blog, and it looks awesome! I've been scrolling through the restaurants and I am so excited to go eat out! haha

Best part? They shoot for $10 and under/person... wow.

Check it out!

Picture Posts

Dear Reader,

Recent studies have shown that books without works,
aka picture books,
assist with learning and development.

The following 4-6 posts,
because I can't remember how many I made,
are all pictures.

I am currently not a fan of editing all of my pictures.
So, they're simply fresh, right out of the camera.
don't judge

Because that's how you would feel,
after getting your first set of fillings.
and your upper wisdom teeth pulled.
No gas.
Ouch.

Instead of sleeping,
I've run through the 1000+ pictures,
and pulled some for your enjoyment!

Enjoy your vicarious trips through
Portland
Vancouver
Bowen Island
and
Seattle.
