Delish!!!

After 18 weeks, I am back!

Tonight we had pan-seared sole fillets (very yummy fish),
homemade Texas Roadhouse Rolls + cinnamon honey butter
[thank you Pinterest!]
and salad!

I am so happy to finally be able to look at food again!
And the rolls turned out really well!
I couldn't believe it.

Oh! And I made triple blueberry muffins {the healthy kind!}

Man.
I cannot wait for tomorrow night!

New Ideas, Another Blog?

Help!

***
I've been thinking, thinking, and re-thinking through this.
Let me know what you think.

I'm thinking of starting another blog...
this new blog will address questions about "firsts,"
such as, "My first kid - what do I really need?"

This is the thing that I've been wondering for years.
And now that I'm finally to this point (not to mention halfway through it),
I find myself wishing I had the answer.
I'm really not high-maintenance,
so this blog won't be allllll about the many "extras"
that you can get for baby,
[although a Splurge Saturday will be necessary to keep the dreams alive!]
but rather for the basics that are life-saving.

The best part?
Everyone, regardless of kid status,
knows "something" that worked great for "someone"
and I think we could all benefit from that.

Also, I'm thinking of creating special sections -
*baby shower ideas,
*first hospital stay baskets,
*announcement templates,
and much much more!

This way, the blog could have a trillion guest post-ers.
That would bring such a wealth of info.
And, please.
I'm a researcher.
This is what I do.
Research info.
Then, make decisions.

So, send me your input,
your opinions,
and most of all,
suggestions!

I think the first thing I'm going to do is the following -
My sister-in-law Jennine is amazing.
Seriously.
She has 5 great kids, ranging in ages from 14-2.
And, she remodeled her basement while her youngest was still in her arms.
Uh, really?
I don't even hang pictures b/c I can't commit.
So, guess what our first baby psot will be?

We are going to walk around Babies -R- Us
and she'll point out the features
of car-seats, high chairs, pack-n-play things, etc.
Then, she'll tell me what has been the most convenient for her.
[She always prefaces that her opinions are biased! haha]
I'll make a picture-opinion-catalog.
Then, you'll be able to graze through it and see what things are most useful.
Then, someone else can do it,
send me the pictures with their opinions,
and bam!
It'll get posted,
and we'll all get educated.
[This would be a great resource for the inevitable, "What do I get for a baby shower gift?"]

This would also be a great opportunity for moms with more than 1 kid
to give the "trial & error" section some humor and experience posts!

The best way to get dried poop off of clothes?
My friend mentioned oxy-clean in a bucket of water,
then let the clothes soak, and wha-la!
The soiled clothes get put in the wash and come out good as new!

How do you get blood off of clothes?
A little bit of Hydrogen Peroxide.
Doesn't stain clothes, bleach colors, or anything.
Just degrades the blood and you're good to go.
(that one is mine - freakin saves my life)

Ok, enough with the brain-storm.
Let me know what you think!!!
Thanks!

And People Think Math Doesn't Make Sense...

 1 + 1 = 3

 12 weeks and counting...

 15 weeks....take 1

15 weeks...take 2!

Currently, I'm at 16 weeks and change.
For those of you, who like me, hate 'week' talk,
I'm 4 months.
Gender Ultrasound: February 8th

Overall,
Funny story, but I'll save it for later.

Due Date: July 2

Funny story about that too....
That'll also come later.
Enjoy!

Oh, and since I sold my camera, you get lots of great phone pics!

Winter Daze!

Well.

So much has happened in the past few months,
I have totally fallen out of 'blogging!'

One weekend in November, we randomly decided to move.
Tyler pointed out that it wasn't that random -
we'd looked for a place we loved for over a year, on and off.

We finished Ty's first graduate class semester,
finished applying for graduate school,
and had finals.

Then, came the move.
It didn't take long,
but I still haven't unpacked my clothes.
Go figure!

Then, 4 days of work,
and bam!
Off to Delaware.

Christmas was amazing! I hope you saw the video I posted on facebook!
My family was so surprised to see us!
It was totally worth it!
We had dinner and lunch with friends,
celebrated NYE in Philly
by watching fireworks,
and toured DC.

We did so much,
and it was the prefect vacation!
We even drove 45 minutes to get our favorite summertime dessert!

So many more things to come...
but here are just a few pictures of the vacation.
Can I just say its so lovely to have a best friend to travel with?
To hang out with?
I love Tyler...he's practically the best.
And, my family loves him a LOT too,
which makes my day.

My favorite Smithsonian - the art is so refreshing!

Aren't you just yelling for me to fix the angle? haha I am too. Oh well.

Why don't we use this as the White House?!
Love the French inspiration...

We walked the entire 7-8 mile loop.
I'm so glad I put Dr. Scholl's in my boots!

I might just print this one....

Could they have made this monument any cooler?
This is probably one of my favorite things to see in DC.
So amazing.

 The WWII Memorial.
I took these pictures for my grandpa.
He rarely talks about the war...
but when we're alone, sometimes he opens up.
Listen.

Eventually, I'll crop out this fence...haha
And the random looking wine-tasting event going on.
Again, the WWII Memorial.
They did such a lovely job!

 My temple.
I love it.

Julie, Me, Addison [Julie's little 4yr old! So cute!], and Mare!

Chad, Me, Addison, Tyler
Jules & Mare.

Mare had us up to Philly to watch fireworks!
On the East Coast,
they shoot fireworks off of bridges, barges, etc.
Then, they sync the video footage to patriotic music,
so while you ring in the New Year,
you can watch fireworks from the entire eastern sea board.

Mare lives right on the waterfront in Philly,
right after the Benjamin Franklin Bridge -
such a great location!
We had the best time!!!!!!!
Thanks so much Mare!

In other good news,
I'm way closer to picking out a camera.
THANK THE STARS

Soon. Promise.
