Another Camera Post..

Ok.

I own a Nikon.

I am thinking of switching to Canon.

Thoughts?

I simply feel like Canons take better pictures without as much effort. haha

And, a friend mentioned that the lenses AF with all models, and they're cheaper.

I'm selling my Nikon D5000.

Now.... what to get next?

-i posted on fb, so any comments, anywhere, are awesome-

I love Canon. It's what I've had the last two cameras I've owned. I've been very happy with them.

Canon Rebel XS all the way. That's what I have and I LOOOOOOVE it. My sister-in-law has been spending this week here with us and she keeps telling me how jealous she is of my camera because it takes such clear pictures. Love it. No regrets. Good luck with your decision. Ps.... I miss you.

Canons are wonderful cameras. what's your budget? Rebels are great but the stock lenses are only ok (I think) you can get the body and get a $100 50mm f1.8 lens and it will go a long way, it takes beautiful close ups and portraits. however you will have to deal with a fixed lens and the fact that the rebel is not a full frame camera. I would check out B&H Photo's used section. They refurbish used cameras and sell them at a decent price. I would look at a 50D or 60D. Both are really great cameras and a nice step up from the rebel. If you do get a rebel get one that has the HD video.
