pondering my lines upon lines...

laying in bed tonight i started thinking about a concept i've believed in for years. you know that you have a purpose in life. whatever this purpose may be, it is inherently individualized specifically for you and your character. now, here is my question:

how do you find your meaning?

meaning defines your purpose each day - in the sense that it is an everyday process that you and i follow in an attempt to find success (in whatever way you define success-this too is individualized).

you have an overall purpose, generalized to title your life. but what will the subheadings read? the individual chapters that you write? how will you write those chapters that will fill this book of life with meaning-the meaning that in the end defined your purpose.

Krista! I'm so glad you commented. Thanks. I really think this post is fitting with the beginning of a new year. Thinking about your purpose and refining goals and how we can better become what we are supposed to be. Looks like you're doing great. Congrats on getting married. Blogging's the best.

Ok so maybe since this is a slightly more spiritual topic, relating a movie that is not so "spiritual" isn't appropriate. But here goes...we just saw Benjamin Button this last weekend. There were some bad parts but we're going to skip those. I loved the movie, and the reason is that it took you on a journey through this man's life that was not normal but it was filled with wonderful people and opportunities. Maybe the people he met didn't last but they affected the rest of his life and his affected theirs. I thought it was a really neat idea. No matter where your life takes you, you always will play a part in someone else's life and leave an impression them, and vice versa. It also made me really want to appreciate every experience that I have because none of them last! I don't know what my main purpose is but I can take it one day at a time. Ok off the soapbox. Sorry that was random, but your comment made me think of that and I wanted to share :) Hope it made sense! Love ya.
