Topics of Teaching

Our RS Presidency takes the 1st Sunday of each month to teach on whatever topic they feel inspired to teach upon. Its my turn this Sunday, and a funny thing happened to me when I started thinking about what to teach on.

A little thought popped into my mind, so here I am - if you were attending our RS this week, what topic would edify you? What topics would you say, "Yes, I needed to hear something like that today." I have a few ideas, but I'd like to see what my friends are thinking.

The sooner you comment, the better my lesson might be! haha I'm famous for being able to whip something up quickly, but the more preparation time I have, the better. You never know, your post may win :)

Thanks!

ps: Pictures to come, promise :)

Well if the RS topic was on patience then I would definitely know it was meant for me :) Just about everything in my life is focused on teaching me that right now. Good luck with your lesson. You'll do great, I have no doubt :)

I agree...patience is golden. Especially with a new little baby around!
I have to keep reminding myself that everything else can wait when it takes her an hour to nurse and burp...I will get to everything else eventually! She's only tiny once.

I think anything you teach with the spirit will have a way of teaching the sisters whatever they need to hear.. even if it's something completely different from what you thought you taught.

However, to throw topics around, something that's been pressing on our family's mind for the last couple months is preparation- spiritual and temporal. Doing all we can and making an extra effort to be prepared financially, storage-wise, and most importantly, spiritually. Whatever happens in this crazy world, if we have continued spiritual strength and trust in the Lord, then we can make it through anything. Treasures in heaven are the most important. :)

Unity. Especially amongst sisters and the ward.
